Although
the stats show that there are many visitors and readers on the forum
there does not seem to be a lot of response to the posts. As you read,
if you have a thought to share, idea to present, or even a dis-agreement
to something you find, please feel free to post your thoughts. We
encourage everyone to write whatever is on your mind.

In my
opinion, a forum should not become a newspaper where there are a few
writers and the rest merely read. Instead, it would be more useful,
informative, and interesting if everyone would write something from time
to time. I urge every member here start a new topic when you want to or
respond to any post in any manner that suits you. If you would rather
just read that is fine. However, the reason I made this post is to
remind everyone that this an open forum and as such everyone has the
same rights and responsibilities here.

Carl, I am really not impressed with this forum. Typing things in this is REALLY slow. My keystrokes lag. And it doesn't matter what computer I am using. However, on an iPad, it works just fine.

It's probably due to your operating system and/or your browser. Try FireFox or Safari. On my end here it's about 10 X to 15 X faster than the previous one.

I can't figure out how to change the line spacing to single space. Can ya help out? I also can't delete my drat message. Help Mr Wizard

To delete a draft go to your draft page where you usually have your all your drafts and move the cursor to the top right of a draft message. A small "X" should appear. Click on it and the selected draft will be deleted.
Concerning the single space I still searching.

I'm a newbee in HF. I bought the V22L for the small size and the constraints in the area I live. My radio arrived much later than I thought I'd get it (2 months). In the mean time I've misplaced the set up info for the antenna. Could I please get a copy of it setup instructions? Also, it seems there could be different combinations with the two antennas but I don't recall any discussion about that in any literature.

Seems to have been a slow seller as I don't see the model listed with its own forum.

The V22L was a Special Edition in limited quantity. We sold about 100 of them.

I cant see what you sent as far as how to install the V22L on your answering post to me. At least it doesnt show up on the screen.

There was no picture above your post, maybe my system doesn't allow it. I can't view the photobucket site either. Work firewall.

I did note that in another forum under title Jawmount , your diagram calls it a V22L example. I think you meant V2L since the antenna shown doesn't resemble my V22L.

For my V22L do I need to remove the white washer?

Will try to look at picture from my home computer.

What would it do if I only used one of the antennas's.

With the V22L you don't have to remove the white washer. You only remove the white washer with the HYBRID.
Look at the following YouTube video : http://youtu.be/brN5wWrdBtY
Go at 2:30 minutes and you'll see a V2L installation on a fence. If you wanted to use a V22L you simply install the V2 under the Jawmount.
If you only use one antenna make sure that your jawmount is well grounded to any grounding system such as counterpoises, radials, vehicle metal body, metallic fence, etc...

I cannot find a way to disable receiving an email message every time someone initiates a post on the forum. I may have somehow done this when I made a post several months ago, but I would like to stop the email notifications. Thank you, Chuck, NF0K

This is how:

1 - You CLICK on your NAME
2 - Select: Edit Preferences
3 - Uncheck ALL box under EMAIL

I just did it for you.
You should not receive any emails anymore.

Thanks for changing the website settings so the thread can be viewed/read without having to login. I'm one of 'those' people that don't retain cookies, and it is much nicer to be able to read the threads without having to go through the login process.

Hello Carl,

since some time I do have issues connecting to the forum. Loading is extremely slow, sometimes I get a timeout before it opens at all.
It is not about logging in, if the site is there I can log on, no problem, and navigate to topics without any major delay.

Runnng IE9 on Win7
