Hybrid Mounting On a Tripod for Portable Operation

I found a great way to mount the Hybrid to a Tripod in a way that is strong, and very functional. First, you want to remove the top locking ring so that all you have is a mast left. Then wrap the top few inches with Electrical Tape and the wide strip variety of Cold Shrink Tape. The rubber will provide excellent isolation between the Mounting Plate and the Tripod Mast. Then simple fasten the mounting plate at the top of the mast. I also have a guy ring on my tripod to provide extra security in higher winds in addition to that what the counterpoise wires provide. My tripod extends to 13 Feet.Pictures links are attached. I hope that this information may be helpful to some of you.
