HD GUY CLAMP · Masts & Infrastructure

A portable mast, tripod, guying, or infrastructure product that supports a documented antenna load.

Why operators make room for it

Turn open ground into a deliberate antenna site

Height, stability, wind area, and setup time all become part of antenna performance when the support travels with the station.

The CHA HD GUY CLAMP is a heavy-duty guy clamp designed specifically for the CHA CFM-34HD Carbon Fiber Mast . It provides a secure attachment point for guy lines, helping keep the mast straight and stable when supporting heavier antennas or operating in windy conditions.

The right infrastructure lets the operator choose the site for radio reasons, then raise a documented load with the required base, sleeve, guying, and power-line clearance.

CHA HD GUY CLAMP

Heavy-Duty Guy Clamp for the CHA CFM-34HD Mast

The CHA HD GUY CLAMP is a heavy-duty guy clamp designed specifically for the CHA CFM-34HD Carbon Fiber Mast. It provides a secure attachment point for guy lines, helping keep the mast straight and stable when supporting heavier antennas or operating in windy conditions.

Originally developed for the CHA UGS 2.0 Universal Guying System, the CHA HD GUY CLAMP is now available separately for operators who already own a CFM-34HD mast or wish to build their own custom guying system.

Manufactured from high-quality ASA engineering-grade material using advanced 3D printing technology, the clamp offers an excellent combination of strength, durability, and lightweight performance. ASA is specifically chosen for its outstanding UV resistance and weatherability, making it ideal for long-term outdoor use in harsh environments.

Why Use a Guy Clamp?

As more weight or side tension is added to a mast, the risk of bending or collapse increases. Proper guying transfers these forces to the ground instead of the mast, greatly improving stability.

Using the CHA HD GUY CLAMP helps:

  • Prevent mast bending
  • Reduce the risk of the mast falling
  • Protect carbon fiber mast sections from damage
  • Improve stability in windy conditions
  • Extend the service life of your mast

Typical Applications

The CHA HD GUY CLAMP is recommended whenever the CFM-34HD supports antennas such as:

  • Tactical Delta Loops (TDL)
  • Dipoles
  • End-Fed antennas
  • Vertical antennas
  • Long wire antennas
  • Lightweight VHF/UHF antennas
  • Any antenna that places side load on the mast

Easy to Install

Simply clamp the CHA HD GUY CLAMP around the mast near the top, attach your guy lines using carabiners or similar hardware, and secure the lines to ground stakes.

For best results:

  • Use three guy lines
  • Space them 120° apart
  • Keep the guy line angle between 30° and 45°
  • Place the stakes approximately 12–20 ft (3.7–6.1 m) from the mast, depending on mast height

Apply even tension to all guy lines to keep the mast straight without over-tightening.
