BASES & FEED SYSTEMS

Field selection guide

Choose from Bases & Feed Systems

Bases & Feed Systems contains the components that introduce RF into an antenna, transform impedance, provide loading, manage common-mode current, or create the mechanical and electrical foundation of a documented configuration. This includes loading coils, feedpoint bases, transformers, chokes, and related RF-interface components used within Chameleon antenna systems.

These parts must be chosen by function, not appearance. Confirm the completed antenna design, required transformation or loading role, frequency coverage, connector and thread interfaces, power and duty cycle, weather exposure, grounding or counterpoise arrangement, and the position where the component belongs in the RF path. A shared connector or 3/8-24 thread proves only physical fit; it does not establish RF, power, structural, or complete-system compatibility. Follow the current guide for the antenna you are building and observe the lowest rating of every connected component.
