"I used the CHA SINGLE-EXT set to raise my CDL off the ground stake by 54" putting the base of the antenna at eye level. Increased the efficiency of the antenna across all the HF bands I used today when compared to the last time I used the CDL on the ground stake alone. As part of the MPAS system they are compatable with my other CHA units."

Extensions
"Excellent product. Just what I needed to run POTA performer setups and elevate my delta loop. Also perfect with the as insulator."
— Leland M. (5/5)
Purple for lifting the antenna up off the base
"I'll actually use these for my tactical Delta antenna to lift it up further. It works great. Very well made"

PERforms beautifully
"I've been getting into using the POTA PERformer style of antenna, which requires that the radiating element be elevated off the ground. I tried using the CHA-EXTENDER, but for as well made as they are, the thin body just doesn't hold up very well under a fully extended CH17. Enter the CHA SINGLE-EXT, with its thicker body and sturdier frame. Also, each unit of the SINGLE-EXT is 2' tall rather than the EXTENDER's 1', so a pair of two gives you the option of hoisting your telescoping antenna either 2' or 4' in the air. Combined with a spike mount and an isolator, the strong materials of the SINGLE-EXT make for a strong and dependable vertical even under modest winds. And while the strength is there to support my CH25 as well as my CH17, at 6' tall, I just don't have the height for tuning my antenna when it's up that tall! Combining a CH17 elevated on either 1 or both SINGLE-EXT in a ground spike, I was able to get <1. 1 SWR with just two elevated radials, just as a POTA PERformer promises. This has given me a new and powerful antenna configuration using my Chameleon products--and I'm sure those EXTENDER units will make great supports for the radials down the road."

CHA extenders
"Works as expected. High quality. Get the TDL off the ground."
— Brad M. (5/5)
CHA SINGLE-EXT (PACK OF 2)
"This is a must have for doing different setups. Very high quality as are all Chameleon products."
— James H. (5/5)
"Works great elevating CHA Tactical Delta Loop (TDL). Spike, SS Insulator, extension 27” x 2 (54” total), then TDL"

Q&A
Compact 13.5 Inch MPAS READY Extension Sections
A modular extension sold in matched two- or four-section kits for documented configurations that need shorter height increments than the standard 27 in SINGLE EXT.
Fine control for modular builds
Add the height you need without adding a full-size extension
The CHA SINGLE-EXT SHORT gives system builders a precise 13.5-inch increment for documented MPAS READY configurations. It is a small component with a valuable job: helping an operator tune radiator geometry, coil position, or isolated feedpoint height without carrying a longer section than the build requires.
Use matched sections in the position defined by the completed antenna guide. Depending on that position, the extension may become part of the RF radiator or may serve only as an isolated center riser - a distinction that protects tuning, symmetry, and safe deployment.

What an operator can do
Add controlled 13.5 in increments below or above an MCC 2.0 where the verified configuration calls for an electrical radiator extension.
Raise an approved feedpoint or center assembly when the extension is on the mechanically supporting, electrically isolated side of that assembly.
Pack shorter extension sections in compact POTA, SOTA, EMCOMM, HOA, and travel kits.
Use two or four matched sections according to the selected product variant and completed antenna design.
Electrical radiator versus mechanical support
Electrical radiator: when the section is directly in the conductive RF path, it changes radiator length and tuning.
Mechanical riser: when installed below an approved isolated feedpoint or insulator, it can raise the assembly without becoming a dipole leg.
Do not assume compatibility from the thread alone. A 3/8-24 connection confirms physical fit only. The completed antenna guide determines electrical role, symmetry, loading, support, and tuning.
Documented-use guardrails
With MCC 2.0 vertical configurations, confirm the extension position, radiator, radial system, and tuning procedure in the completed-system guide.
For V-DIPOLE support, the extension belongs below the isolated dipole feedpoint as a center riser. It is not an instruction to lengthen one dipole leg.
Never add radial or counterpoise accessories to a dipole configuration.
Do not use an extension as a mast or structural adapter unless the completed configuration explicitly documents that role.
