Base-station HF end-fed wire antenna

A 130 ft broadband end-fed wire for permanent or semi-permanent HF installations.

Built for a real operating goal

Give a home, base-camp, or emergency station one full-size broadband HF wire

CHA EMCOMM III BASE is built for operators who can devote real space to a durable 130-foot radiator and want broad HF access without maintaining a collection of separate resonant wire antennas.

Install it horizontally, as a sloper, or in another guide-defined end-fed geometry, then pair the completed installation with the required tuner and feed system. The long radiator makes this the fixed or semi-permanent EMCOMM III choice; it is not the 73-foot portable model.

Almost as advertised

"Solide at 10 to 40 meters not so much at 80 meters"

FD 2021

"I run a program for Veterans ( and a weekly 'talk in' (net at noon on the West Los Angeles VA). Carl was kind enough to send us two EMMM comm 111 units. One to deploy and one to auction. We attached one end to the vacant flag pole on the VA campus and a VA employee took the other and on the bottom of his drone and dropped it over a light pole about 100 feet away. We then tied off that end and effectively had a sloper The antenna itself was very, very well made and we followed the easy instructions to make our sloper. The results were superb. Over the course of the FD 24 hour we made hundreds of contacts, and the SWR was very low across all bands! How great. Simple to erect, easy to use and a bargain for sure. Thanks Carl and Chemaleon for making our FD a success!!! 73"

Very nice!

"Arrived well-packaged and in good condition. Shipping was a bit slow but understandable considering the time of year. No issues. Unpacked and checked over the contents, all looks great and have unwound the antenna wire and re-wound on the provided "holder"?. Attached wire to balun/unun box as required so unit is ready to deploy. Will be activating some of our EOC's early in the new year so will get to try it out soon."

Compatible on so many bands!!

"I don't know how I didn't realize just how well this antenna works but I'm glad I decided to try WSPR using it while band-hopping. I was so glad my little auto-tuner had no complaints on any band! The highest SWR is on 40 meters, at 2. 5:1 EVERYWHERE else, it's 2. 0:1 or less! I'm seriously considering a second one!"

Well Made Works Great

"Another well made Chameleon product. I used it for the first time this weekend for the ARRL 10 meter contest. Also used it for some POTA hunting. Worked great and is well made."

— Aaron C. (5/5)

Awesome NVIS Antenna

"I'm using this hung off the fence in my backyard. That puts the antenna up at around 5'. I get excellent NVIS prop on 40m and 80m. If I use 17m at this height it puts me into California and beyond from Indiana. I am able to easily call into Europe on 20m. I recommend Chameleon antennas to anyone who is starting out. Things that work out of the box get people excited to learn more and start experimenting. I also have an MPAS2. 0 and that antenna is equally awesome."
