Compact modular HF antenna system

More deployment choice without the full-size loadout

Carry less. Keep the vertical-or-wire choice.

CHA MPAS Lite brings the modular MPAS approach into a smaller four-configuration kit. Use the supplied SS17 as a quick vertical or deploy the 60-foot wire as an end-fed inverted V, sloper, or horizontal NVIS antenna.

It is the right starting point when an operator wants genuine configuration choice without carrying the full MPAS 2.0 component set. The selected HYBRID controls the power class, and a tuner or coupler is required on bands where the completed deployment does not fall within the radio's acceptable match range.

  • Coverage160-6 m, configuration dependent
  • Four setupsVertical plus three wire arrangements
  • Two power classesHYBRID MICRO or MINI

Documented ways to use this system

Each card describes a complete guide-controlled path. Connector fit alone does not create another supported configuration.

SS17 vertical

A fast omnidirectional deployment. Performance is limited below 7 MHz; use the guide's whip and return settings.

Portable sloper or inverted V

Use the 60-foot wire when one or two suitable elevated supports are available.

Horizontal NVIS

Raise the 60-foot wire approximately 10-12 ft for the guide's regional/NVIS configuration.

Choose the complete configuration first: the 60-foot wire changes electrical role between wire-antenna and vertical deployments. Follow the guide's connection point and RF-return arrangement rather than treating every 3/8-24 part as interchangeable.
