CHA F-LOOP Series Installation Guide: Standard Portable Configuration

For an existing CHA F-LOOP 3.0, the standard portable build uses the 102-inch flexible radiator, the 6.5-inch coupling loop, a 24-inch telescoping mast, and the supplied 12-foot RG-58 feed line with antenna-end isolator.

What matters in the field: For an existing CHA F-LOOP 3.0, the standard portable build uses the 102-inch flexible radiator, the 6.5-inch coupling loop, a 24-inch telescoping mast, and the supplied 12-foot RG-58 feed line with antenna-end isolator.

What the operator is controlling

Shape both loops in the same plane, secure the coax along the mast, place the system on a stable surface or documented heavy-duty support, and keep the tuning knob within reach.

Where people get into trouble

The F-LOOP 3.0 is discontinued, not waterproof, and should not be confused with the separate pre-production F-LOOP 4.0. Do not use an external antenna tuner; it can hide a mistuned loop.

A repeatable field method

Set up away from immediate conductors and noise sources, tune at low power using the radio’s SWR indication, recheck after movement, and stay within the 3.0 guide’s power and duty-cycle limits.

Product boundary

These F-LOOP instructions preserve the documented discontinued CHA F-LOOP 3.0 system for existing owners. They do not transfer hardware, tuning, power, or compatibility claims to the separate pre-production CHA F-LOOP 4.0.
