Mechanical safety comes before SWR:

CHA HD GUY CLAMP is the two-piece mast ring used to connect the UGS three-line system to larger CFM masts. It creates a deliberate guy point without drilling or improvising attachments on the carbon-fiber tube.

Stop-work conditions

  • Never install it on a cracked, deformed, or wrong-diameter section.
  • Do not overtighten into carbon fiber.
  • Keep hands clear while a loaded mast moves.
  • Lower the mast immediately if the clamp rotates, slips, or separates.

Control wind, leverage, and movement

  • Confirm the selected mast section is the documented 24-26 mm diameter at the correct guying height.
  • Use all supplied stainless hardware and three carabiners.
  • Do not treat the clamp as a lifting point, antenna bracket, or reason to exceed the mast rating.

Recover without creating the next failure

  • Inspect both halves, fasteners, guy holes, and carabiners.
  • Remove grit before clamping to a mast.
  • Store the matched hardware together.
  • Replace any bent, cracked, corroded, or missing component.

Guying can stabilize a documented installation, but it does not increase the published load or make an unapproved support chain safe.

Use the current CHA HD GUY CLAMP instructions.
