CHA LEFS 8010 Engineering and Performance Guide

CHA LEFS 8010 performance comes from the complete current path and installed geometry; matching is only one part of the result.

Engineering Reference CHA LEFS 8010 Reviewed 2026-07-14
Start with the operator’s decision: CHA LEFS 8010 performance comes from the complete current path and installed geometry; matching is only one part of the result.

How this exact system works

Its Line Winder Assembly is the feed point and suspension point. The standard radiator is 63 feet of 20-gauge copper-clad Kevlar PTFE wire with a loading coil; the 67-foot extension is mechanically strain-relieved by its carabiner and electrically joined only for the documented 80-meter system. Coax is not supplied.

The boundary that prevents mistakes

The guide lists 80 meters only with the extension; 40, 30, 20, 17, 15, 12, and 10 meters are the other specified bands. Published limits are 500 W SSB, 250 W CW, and 150 W digital. Installed height and nearby objects can substantially change SWR.

Use this field sequence

Record frequency, resistance and reactance, geometry, height, feed line, ground, nearby structures, power and mode. Change one variable at a time and never translate a low SWR into an efficiency or range claim.
