CHA LEFS 8010 Sloper Deployment Guide

CHA LEFS 8010 sloper deployment succeeds when the operator reproduces the guide geometry instead of merely getting the wire into a tree.

Start with the operator’s decision: CHA LEFS 8010 sloper deployment succeeds when the operator reproduces the guide geometry instead of merely getting the wire into a tree.

How this exact system works

Use the normal sloper with the Line Winder Assembly about 15–25 feet high for fast general-purpose operation, or support the wire horizontally at about 15 feet when regional/NVIS behavior is the goal. The 130-foot configuration may use either documented geometry.

The boundary that prevents mistakes

The guide lists 80 meters only with the extension; 40, 30, 20, 17, 15, 12, and 10 meters are the other specified bands. Published limits are 500 W SSB, 250 W CW, and 150 W digital. Installed height and nearby objects can substantially change SWR.

Use this field sequence

Survey the support and fall line, lay out and inspect the full radiator, strain-relieve the feed system, raise it without excessive tension, route the coax away from foot traffic, then verify the installed antenna before transmitting.
