Read the complete product technical record
Start with the decision: The LEFS name covers different complete systems: LEFS FEATHER is a 3.4-ounce QRP sloper, LEFS 4010 is a 65-foot multiband end-fed system with optional dipole kits, and LEFS 8010 adds a 130-foot 80-meter extension path. Family name does not make parts interchangeable.
What changes the result
A recommendation is a complete-system decision. Include radiator and return geometry, feed/matching, support, tuner, feed line, power/mode, transport, public clearance, weather, band-change workflow, and recovery.
The mistake to avoid
Do not select by connector fit, one SWR number, a generic mission label, or a promise that one antenna will be best on every band and path.
Use this practical sequence
Eliminate systems that cannot meet hard constraints, compare the documented survivors, rehearse the complete build, measure it in final geometry, and preserve the result as a repeatable recipe.
Source boundary
