CHA LINK-D Installation Guide: Standard Field Deployment

The CHA LINK-D turns the LEFS 4010 End Assembly into a resonant linked dipole for 40, 30, or 20 meters. It is a practical way to carry three focused dipole choices without carrying three separate feed points.

Start with the operating choice: The CHA LINK-D turns the LEFS 4010 End Assembly into a resonant linked dipole for 40, 30, or 20 meters. It is a practical way to carry three focused dipole choices without carrying three separate feed points.

How the documented system works

Connect both wire legs to the wing-nut terminals marked DIPOLE and connect the feed line to the BNC connector marked DIPOLE. Suspend the completed antenna horizontally or as an inverted-V from a tree branch or mast.

The boundary that prevents mistakes

The guide supports one band at a time. The exact link state, wire routing, center height, end height, nearby objects, and feed line all affect the installed result; the LEFS end-fed connector is not the dipole feed point.

Use this field sequence

Select the band before raising the antenna, set both legs identically, inspect every link and strain-relief point, connect the DIPOLE BNC, raise it clear of people and conductors, then verify SWR at low power.
