In plain language: The manual lists documented optional mounts, but it does not make a vehicle roof, bumper, hitch, or body a universal MPAS 2.0 installation or RF return.
Use a parked vehicle only through a verified mount and complete antenna configuration. Keep operation stationary unless the exact product documentation says otherwise.
Build the documented shape
- Select a documented antenna shape and approved mount relationship.
- Keep the specified counterpoise or radial system; do not assume the vehicle replaces it.
- Route coax away from doors, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving parts.
- Control clearance around the whip and fall zone.
Why an operator chooses it
A vehicle can provide mechanical support and can also couple into the antenna. Those are different facts.
Read the site before opening the bag
Record the exact mount location and rerun the low-power match whenever the location, doors, cargo, or feed-line route changes.
Common ways this goes wrong
- Using a roof or bumper mount the company does not sell or document.
- Treating chassis contact as a known ground plane.
- Driving with a portable deployment erected.
- Routing coax through a pinch point.
Before you transmit
- Confirm the exact radiator, matching unit, return path, feed line, and support arrangement.
- Keep conductors and supports clear of power lines and uncontrolled public access.
- Reproduce the guide dimensions before experimenting.
- Inspect every connection and begin testing at low power.
- Record geometry, band, tuner state, and the result before changing one variable.
Boundary: There is no universal MPAS 2.0 vehicle recipe in the current manual.
