Build the documented shape
- Define the stations and likely band.
- Choose the primary shape from available support and footprint.
- Select SS17 or documented SS25 for the vertical plan.
- Pack the required separate counterpoise for wire use.
- Confirm tuner, power class, coax connector, and support line.
Why an operator chooses it
A POTA activation, HOA deployment, or emergency station may choose differently even with the same radio and band.

- Packing the 60 ft wire without support line.

- Confirm the exact radiator, matching unit, return path, feed line, and support arrangement.
- Keep conductors and supports clear of power lines and uncontrolled public access.
- Reproduce the guide dimensions before experimenting.
- Inspect every connection and begin testing at low power.
- Record geometry, band, tuner state, and the result before changing one variable.
