Build from the base upward: CHA PORTA-MOUNTS give the PORTA-MAST—and, through the documented reducer path, the CFM-34HD—a controlled base. Wheel and Hitch Mounts serve temporary vehicle sites; Top and Side Mounts serve bolted semi-permanent installations.

Deployment sequence

  • Inspect the vehicle receiver, tire placement, or structure before loading the mount.
  • Seat the mast to the required depth and install every supplied restraint.
  • Route coax and wire without pulling the mast sideways.
  • Keep the vehicle parked and prevent movement for the entire deployment.

Before raising the antenna

  • Use Hitch Mount with a compatible stationary 2 in receiver.
  • Use Top Mount only on a sound horizontal structure and Side Mount only on a sound vertical structure.
  • For CFM-34HD, add the complete current 3-inch reducer/sleeve system instead of dropping the narrower mast into a PORTA-MOUNT.

Before transmitting

  • Confirm every mast section, clamp, mount, adapter, guy line, antenna attachment, coax route, and RF-return conductor.
  • Begin RF checks at low power after the final geometry is stable.
  • Record the exact configuration so a successful setup can be reproduced.
  • Do not use a temporary vehicle mount on a moving vehicle.
  • Confirm the structure or receiver can carry the mast, antenna, leverage, and wind load.
Use the current CHA PORTA-MOUNTS instructions.
