Product Selection CHA PORTA-MOUNTS Reviewed 2026-07-14
Choose from the complete load: CHA PORTA-MOUNTS give the PORTA-MAST—and, through the documented reducer path, the CFM-34HD—a controlled base. Wheel and Hitch Mounts serve temporary vehicle sites; Top and Side Mounts serve bolted semi-permanent installations.

Use these selection checks

  • Use Wheel Mount when a parked vehicle tire can fully secure the base plate.
  • Use Hitch Mount with a compatible stationary 2 in receiver.
  • Use Top Mount only on a sound horizontal structure and Side Mount only on a sound vertical structure.
  • For CFM-34HD, add the complete current 3-inch reducer/sleeve system instead of dropping the narrower mast into a PORTA-MOUNT.

Confirm the support chain

  • PORTA-MOUNTS are bases, not feedpoints or antenna-matching components.
  • The mount selected must match the PORTA-MAST diameter and installation path.
  • CFM-34HD compatibility depends on the documented 3-inch reducer/sleeve kit.
  • A mast that physically enters a sleeve is not automatically structurally approved.

Reject the plan when

  • Do not use a temporary vehicle mount on a moving vehicle.
  • Confirm the structure or receiver can carry the mast, antenna, leverage, and wind load.
  • Keep the fall zone and public space controlled.
  • Lower the system before moving a vehicle or releasing a tire, hitch, or structural fastener.

Price and physical fit come after the site, load, and complete configuration. If any published limit is missing, do not silently invent one; reduce the load or ask Chameleon technical support to review the exact installation.

Use the current CHA PORTA-MOUNTS instructions.
