Start with the operator’s decision: The discontinued CHA RXL remains a compact rotatable receive-only loop for existing owners who need 135.7 kHz–30 MHz coverage and useful directional noise rejection.

How this exact system works

The loop, amplifier, direct coax path, supplied bias-T power arrangement, rotator/support, and receiver protection form the system. It is never a transmitting antenna. Treat the product as a complete documented system: feed point, radiator, return or balanced second leg, feed line, support, geometry, power, and environment all matter.

The boundary that prevents mistakes

Never transmit into the RXL. This is owner support for a discontinued product; receiving bandwidth does not prove immunity from nearby transmitted RF or lightning.

Use this field sequence

Mount it where rotation is clear, preserve the direct powered coax path, separate it at least 25 feet from a 100-watt-or-higher transmitting antenna, and rotate for best signal-to-noise rather than maximum meter reading.

Source boundary

CHA RXL Product Guide RX_Loop_Prod_Final. The exact current product, components, band, feed, support, geometry, and operating limits control; physical fit does not establish compatibility.
