CHA Support Hardware Compatibility and System Integration

Support hardware is part of the antenna system, not scenery. The mast, base, adapter, guy point, guy lines, surface, wind, feed-line pull, and antenna geometry must work together before RF performance matters.

Product Compatibility CHA Support Hardware Reviewed 2026-07-14
Fit is only the first check: Support hardware is part of the antenna system, not scenery. The mast, base, adapter, guy point, guy lines, surface, wind, feed-line pull, and antenna geometry must work together before RF performance matters.

Documented relationships

  • A shared thread or diameter does not prove a complete structural relationship.
  • Adapters solve one interface; they do not transfer every load rating.
  • Guying improves stability but does not increase the mast or antenna rating.
  • Use the current product guide and exact package identity for every support chain.

Interfaces to verify

  • Start with the exact antenna and configuration.
  • Count height, weight, wind area, leverage, coax pull, wire tension, transport, and fall zone.
  • Choose a base for the site: ground, clamp, surveyor tripod, vehicle, deck, wall, or sleeve only where documented.
  • Use the stricter limit whenever the antenna, mast, mount, adapter, or environment disagrees.

What compatibility does not mean

  • A matching thread or tube diameter does not prove structural capacity.
  • A stable mount does not replace the required feed, matching, radiator, or RF-return components.
  • An adapter does not transfer the highest rating of one product to the rest of the chain.
  • Use the exact antenna, height, load, wind, and guying limits from every current guide.
Use the current Chameleon support hardware instructions.
