Build from the base upward: CHA UGS 2.0 is the field guying kit that turns a swaying whip or mast into a controlled three-line support. It includes 30 ft guy lines, 15 in stakes, tensioners, and the ring system needed for documented small-diameter verticals and larger CFM masts.

Deployment sequence

  • Place the correct ring at the guide-defined height.
  • Arrange three guy lines about 120 degrees apart.
  • Leave controlled slack while placing stakes, then tension evenly until the structure is vertical with little play.
  • Keep every line visible and outside uncontrolled walkways.

Before raising the antenna

  • Use the Mast Guy Ring for CFM-34, CFM-34HD, or an appropriate 24-26 mm mast section below 25 ft on a mast no taller than 36 ft.
  • Plan a guy radius around 60-100 percent of the ring height as the guide describes.
  • Allow one operator under 10 minutes only after the site and complete system are practiced.

Before transmitting

  • Confirm every mast section, clamp, mount, adapter, guy line, antenna attachment, coax route, and RF-return conductor.
  • Begin RF checks at low power after the final geometry is stable.
  • Record the exact configuration so a successful setup can be reproduced.
  • Never set lines or stakes where people or vehicles can cross them.
  • Do not overtension and bend the mast.
Use the current CHA UGS 2.0 instructions.
