Start with the complete system: The CHA URT1 is a remote automatic tuner system for 1.8–54 MHz that separates the indoor Coupler Unit from the antenna-side Tuner Unit while sending RF, 12 VDC power, and control over their dedicated coax run.

What the product controls

It tunes single-wire radiators through the insulated beehive output or coax-fed antennas through the ANTENNA connector. The two antenna outputs are alternatives, not simultaneous ports. The guide specifies 0.5–15 W tuning power.

The boundary that prevents mistakes

The tuner creates a transmitter match within its range; it does not make every wire efficient, safe, mechanically supported, or electrically equivalent. Nothing may be inserted in the bias-T coax between Coupler and Tuner.

Use this field sequence

Choose one documented antenna output, install the Tuner close to the antenna, provide the required return or grounding path, connect Coupler and Tuner directly, apply 12–14 VDC, and tune at low power before applying operating power.
