CHA URT1 Troubleshooting Guide

Verify 12–14 VDC and bias-T orientation, remove every unapproved inline device, inspect the direct Coupler-to-Tuner coax, prove feed/control continuity, restore the exact radiator and return, tune at low power, and isolate tuner faults from antenna faults one layer at a time.

Start with the operating decision: Verify 12–14 VDC and bias-T orientation, remove every unapproved inline device, inspect the direct Coupler-to-Tuner coax, prove feed/control continuity, restore the exact radiator and return, tune at low power, and isolate tuner faults from antenna faults one layer at a time.

How the system behaves

The Tuner Unit and Coupler Unit use a direct coax path that simultaneously carries RF, 12–14 VDC, and tuner control from the bias-T system. Nothing may be inserted in that path. The single-wire beehive and coax ANTENNA outputs are alternatives, not simultaneous generic ports.

The boundary that prevents mistakes

Remove DC and RF before service. Protect the tuner, direct coax/control path, connectors, and ground/return terminal from strain and weather. Treat RF return, equipment bonding, earth safety, and lightning protection as distinct engineered jobs.

Use this field sequence

Select one documented URT1 application, mount the compatible tuner securely, keep cable loads off its connectors, connect the exact radiator and RF return, route RF/control conductors as shown, weather-protect the complete assembly, then energize it only after inspection.
