CHA URT1 Troubleshooting and Preventive Maintenance

URT1 troubleshooting should follow the signal and power path in order: supply, Coupler ports, protected coax, Tuner ports, selected antenna output, antenna conductor, and return path.

Product Troubleshooting CHA URT1 Remote Automatic Tuner Reviewed 2026-07-14
Start with the complete system: URT1 troubleshooting should follow the signal and power path in order: supply, Coupler ports, protected coax, Tuner ports, selected antenna output, antenna conductor, and return path.

What the product controls

A full tune can take about five seconds and a memory tune about a tenth of a second. Failure to tune can come from low voltage, a coax short, an inline device, both antenna outputs being used, a load outside range, or poor antenna/return geometry.

The boundary that prevents mistakes

Repeatedly commanding tune at high power or randomly swapping connections risks damage and destroys the evidence needed to find the fault. A successful match does not prove low loss or good radiation.

Use this field sequence

Power down, inspect and weatherproof connections, measure the supply under load, test the direct Coupler-to-Tuner coax, restore one documented output, tune at low power, then record whether the result was full tune, memory tune, or failure.
