In plain language: A Chameleon MPAS or HYBRID build is a complete current path: radiator, HYBRID unit, feed line, choke strategy, return system, support, and surroundings all matter.
Why this matters in a Chameleon system
The modular kit name is not a component recipe. Name the actual HYBRID-MINI or MICRO, radiator, return path, feed line, and support used in the build.
Build or diagnose it this way
- Name every component.
- Use the recipe’s ring-terminal or banana-plug return.
- Do not duplicate a choke when the selected coax already integrates one.
- Record final cable and radial layout.
Wrong turns to avoid
- Writing MPAS 2.0 plus whip without naming the base and return.
- Assuming two alternative counterpoises are both required.
- Inferring electrical compatibility or NEC behavior from fit.
