Explanation
Overview The CQ World Wide DX Contest (CQ WW DX) is one of the world's largest international amateur radio competitions. Each year, hundreds of thousands of contacts are made as operators attempt to work as many countries and CQ Zones as possible. Contest Categories Single Operator. Multi-Operator. Assisted. QRP. Low Power. High Power. Contest Objectives Work worldwide DX stations. Maximize DXCC entities. Collect CQ Zones. Increase score multipliers. Why It Is Popular Extremely high activity. Excellent propagation opportunities. Worldwide participation. Prestigious awards. Applied to Chameleon Products Many operators rely on Chameleon antenna systems during CQ WW DX because multiband capability and rapid deployment allow efficient operation from home stations, portable sites, and DXpeditions. The exact result depends on the complete station: frequency, geometry, feed line, matching network, return-current path, environment, operating power, and the reference plane of any measurement. A low SWR establishes an impedance relationship at that point; it does not by itself prove efficiency, radiation pattern, compatibility, or safety.
What to Verify
- Use the newest official product guide or primary service documentation.
- Confirm the exact model, revision, components, configuration, and operating conditions.
- Begin tests at low power and change one variable at a time.
- Do not infer compatibility from connector or thread fit.
