CARBON FIBER TRIPOD · Masts & Infrastructure

A portable mast, tripod, guying, or infrastructure product that supports a documented antenna load.

Why operators make room for it

Give a portable vertical a stable feed point without carrying a full-size tripod

Portable vertical antennas become much easier to use when the feed point has a stable home. The CHA CARBON FIBER TRIPOD creates that low, compact support without forcing an operator to carry a surveyor tripod, drive a spike into the ground, or improvise a base from whatever happens to be nearby. It is especially useful on a patio, campsite, picnic table area, balcony, hard-packed surface, or any operating position where a small freestanding footprint is more practical than a ground mount.

The tripod weighs just over one pound, folds to approximately 8 1/4 inches, adjusts from about 11 to 17.3 inches, and uses 10-ply carbon-fiber legs with a machined aluminum base. Its supplied interface accepts both 1/4-20 equipment and the 3/8-24 Chameleon ecosystem, giving one compact support more than one job in a travel or field kit. The published static load rating is up to 22 pounds, but antenna height, leverage, wind, uneven ground, and the complete installed configuration still govern safe use.

For amateur-radio use, the guide shows the 3/8-24 adapter supporting a CHA HYBRID-MICRO, CHA HYBRID-MINI, CHA BLANK, or CHA MCC at the feed point. That creates practical paths for documented portable vertical systems, including supported CHA PRV 2.0 and CHA BV configurations, as well as other complete builds that use those feed-point components. The tripod's real value is not the carbon fiber by itself—it is the antenna position it makes possible.

Choose the CHA CARBON FIBER TRIPOD when pack size matters, the antenna needs a low and stable feed point, and a larger support would be unnecessary. It gives a new customer a clear starting platform and gives an existing Chameleon owner another way to deploy compatible MPAS READY components in places where a spike, clamp, or full-size tripod is inconvenient. Follow the current guide for the complete antenna, and stabilize or guy the installation whenever the radiator, wind, or site creates more leverage than the small footprint can safely manage.
