RFI CHOKE · Coax & RF Connections
A coaxial cable, connector, adapter, choke, or RF interconnect.
Why operators make room for it
Make every connection support the station—not complicate it
Field setups become faster when cable length, connector type, strain relief, and routing are already solved before departure.
That is where CHA RFI CHOKE enters the kit. The Chameleon Antenna Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) Choke works to block common mode currents that end fed antenna designs can exhibit.
That preparation gives the operator a cleaner, more dependable feed-line plan while keeping connector, loss, frequency, power, routing, and weather limits visible. The specifications below show exactly where CHA RFI CHOKE fits in that plan.

What an operator can do
- Match connector gender and type at both ends without forcing or cross-threading the connection.
- Route coax with strain relief, a suitable bend radius, and weather protection where required.
- Use the lowest power, frequency, loss, and environmental rating that applies to the complete RF path.
Complete product details
The Chameleon Antenna Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) Choke works to block common mode currents that end fed antenna designs can exhibit.
The RFI Choke is made of five (5) sleeve beads featuring #31 Ferrite Mix which is the best for this purpose. The #31 Ferrite Mix Core covers 1 MHz to 300MHz.
The RFI Choke reduces or totally eliminates the RFI carried by the coax cable.
They can be installed either at the antenna feed point or right behind the antenna tuner.
The choke is composed of the following:
- 12" of RG 58 Coax Cable
- Power Limit 300W SSB
Everything is protected by about 10" of black 3:1 Polyolefin Heat Shrink for maximum protection.
