Perfect for Public Service rapid deployment

"THIS ANTENNA IS PERFECT FOR MY RAPID DEPLOYMENT PUBLIC SERVICE. I do public service events (runs, bike rides, auto Raleys, etc. ). I have dreamed of a “transformer-like” antenna for these events (2m, 1. 75m, 70cm). It has hinges to fold up rapidly, slide into a PVC tube, throw the tube in the back of my Subaru SUV along with other gear, and move to the next position. This antenna rapidly unfolds and rapidly connects to the mast with no small nuts that fall into the grass and require specific sized wrenches to manipulate in tight spaces, and no thin beam elements that bend with a casual bump in the back of a sport utility vehicle. The thumb rotator to connect the antenna to a mast is one of the best features; no lost nuts wrong wrenches, or tight spaces to deal with. The mast is a Harbor Freight Flag pole mast, 17 feet, that is quickly zip tied to a fence post and strong enough to hold a sturdy 3 element 2m beam in 25mph winds with no guy wires. Chameleon, WELL DONE! If Chameleon makes a 1. 75m and 2m version of this antenna, I will be in line to buy three on day one."

Great Little Antenna

"This is just what I was looking for. I am going to use it for satellite work. Get the wire with bnc connector. Out of the box I hit my local repeater. There should be an instruction sheet included, but you can find it online. I am old school. The arms are spring loaded and easy to open and close when you do it a couple of times. This is super compact, lightweight and small enough to transport open or closed."

Better than expected

"This is the best antenna based on features and price. When it arrived in a small cardboard box, I was in disbelief in how compact it could pack away. You can also tell the workmanship quality is top notch and that they paid attention to detail from how the pigtail coax is attached and everything. The flexibility with the use of the hand grip or tripod or anything with the correct size screw head is very convenient. Use it in the hand or on a tripod mount! No regrets."

Great antenna, performer, problem solver

"This is a quality, well made, super potable antenna with fantastic performance and nice features. Small, light, east to deploy. Pistol grip is fantastic. And it is a problem solver. We’re sunk in a valley and I’m using this little guy to get over a 1630’ summit 2 miles away so I can hit the repeater another 5 miles away on the other side! All with a 10 watt HT. Love it."
