FSR-A · Counterpoise & Radials

A radial or counterpoise component for documented unbalanced antenna configurations.

Why operators make room for it

Build repeatability underneath an unbalanced antenna

A field antenna is not complete simply because the vertical element is standing upright.

The CHA FSR-A is the same precision-machined stainless steel coupling adapter included with the CHA FSR — Faraday Strip Radial System , now available separately for operators who want maximum flexibility in the field.

The operator gains a deployable, understandable ground-side system that can be laid out consistently and adjusted only where the official antenna configuration permits it. The specifications below show exactly where CHA FSR-A fits in that plan.

Best for

A field antenna is not complete simply because the vertical element is standing upright.

What else you need

Connect it only at the documented ground or counterpoise point and keep it clear of trip hazards.

Compatible with
  • CHA HYBRID
  • CHA HYBRID-MINI
  • CHA HYBRID-MICRO
  • CHA BLANK
  • CHA SS17

What an operator can do

  • Lay out the wire or radial system in the quantity, length, and pattern specified by the completed antenna guide.
  • Connect it only at the documented ground or counterpoise point and keep it clear of trip hazards.
  • Do not add radials or a counterpoise to a balanced dipole configuration.

CHA FSR-A (Adapter)

Special Stainless Steel 3/8-24 Coupling Adapter

The CHA FSR-A is the same precision-machined stainless steel coupling adapter included with the CHA FSR — Faraday Strip Radial System, now available separately for operators who want maximum flexibility in the field.

Designed for universal compatibility with 3/8-24 antenna systems, the CHA FSR-A allows you to securely “sandwich” accessories, counterpoise systems, Faraday strips, grounding plates, or custom mounting solutions between your antenna and mount system. The adapter features a rugged stainless steel construction engineered for portable, mobile, base, emergency communications, POTA, SOTA, and military-style field operations.

The bottom side features a male 3/8-24 thread, while the top side provides a female 3/8-24 connection, making it compatible with virtually all Chameleon Antenna vertical systems and accessories including the CHA HYBRID, CHA HYBRID-MINI, CHA HYBRID-MICRO, CHA MCC, CHA BLANK, CHA SS17, CHA SS25, CHA MPAS, CHA TDL, and many other industry-standard 3/8-24 antenna components.

Built from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, the CHA FSR-A is designed to withstand harsh outdoor environments including rain, salt air, mud, dust, and extreme temperatures. The compact low-profile design maintains excellent mechanical strength while minimizing unnecessary height or instability in portable deployments.

Whether you are building a custom counterpoise system, integrating Faraday radial strips, experimenting with grounding configurations, or creating a modular antenna platform, the CHA FSR-A provides a professional-grade solution trusted in demanding field conditions.
