CHA FSR — Faraday Strip Radial System
The CHA FSR (Faraday Strip Radial System) is a man-packable, MPAS READY radial and counterpoise system engineered for enhanced efficiency, rugged durability, and portability in the field. Designed for serious operators, the CHA FSR delivers superior performance while remaining compact and easy to transport.
Enhanced Performance
In initial field tests conducted in Northern Alabama, the CHA FSR demonstrated a median increase in relative field strength between 23% and 28% compared to the standard four 12.5 ft. wire radials included with the Basic Vertical (BV) and Portable Resonant Vertical (PRV) antennas. With further testing and refinement, performance efficiency is expected to increase.

West Point Academy Chooses the CHA TACYAGI-70 for Cadet Training
At Chameleon Antenna, we take pride in supporting those who lead, protect, and innovate. That’s why we’re excited to share that West Point Academy — the United States Military Academy — has integrated our CHA TACYAGI-70 antennas into their cadet radio training program.
West Point instructors recently ordered ten CHA TACYAGI-70 units for a specialized training exercise. The mission? To teach cadets the principles of directional antenna operation by locating a beacon set one mile away. Using tools like SDR++ for signal strength analysis and FLDIGI for signal decoding, cadets practiced tracking and interpreting RF signals — a critical skill in modern communications and field operations.
The feedback?
“These Cha Yagis are absolutely fantastic and have helped me make this an exceptionally effective lesson.”
For Chameleon Antenna, this partnership is more than a sale — it’s a testament to the rugged design, reliability, and performance of the CHA TACYAGI-70. Seeing our equipment in the hands of the next generation of military leaders at West Point underscores our commitment to delivering mission-ready solutions for both field operators and training environments.
The CHA TACYAGI-70: Built for Field Use, Trusted by Professionals
